AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts)
Second Story worked with the AIGA to create the Design Archives which serves as a record of annual juried selections of design excellence honored by the AIGA.
Discovery/TLC
Discovery and TLC approached Second Story to create original content for the launch of their high-speed site. Second Story produced the broadband version of Unwrapped: The Mysterious World of Mummies and managed all aspects of the site’s creation, from concept to completion.
DreamWorks Records
Second Story created, developed, and maintained the DreamWorks Records site for three years. As part of this relationship, the studio produced over 40 artist sites for musicians on the DreamWorks label.
Eastman Kodak
Second Story worked with Kodak to develop engaging human interest stories, positioning Kodak as a source for compelling content that pushes the state of the art.
Experience Music Project
Paul Allen’s next-generation rock ‘n’ roll museum turned to Second Story for media-rich, interactive kiosk installations. The three kiosks are featured in different areas of the museum: The Hendrix Gallery, Northwest Passage, and the Sound Lab.
Florentine Films
While many PBS companion sites are developed with PBS Online, Second Story’s third site for a film directed by Ken Burns, Mark Twain, was created with the filmmakers directly.
Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery
Second Story worked with the musuem to create an events display system that is available within their lobby and on the Web.
Fun + Mental Media
Second Story worked with filmmaker Rob Mikyuria to create Face to Face: Stories from the Aftermath of Infamy, a Web site that interconnects the experiences of Japanese Americans and Muslim Americans following the attacks on Pearl Harbor and the events of September 11.
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
Conceived as the nation's museum of modern and contemporary art, the mission of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden is to collect and educate about the art of our time. Second Story created a database driven Web site to make the entire collection accessible.
J. Paul Getty Museum
With the creation of interpretive videos along with multimedia and large scale interactive installations, Second Story helped Getty Museum visitors contextualize and enrich their experiences.
John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
The MacArthur Foundation funds thousands of individuals and institutions in about 60 countries around the world. Focusing on these remarkable grantees and their work, Second Story created interactives focusing on their important efforts while showing the breadth of the foundation’s philanthropic initiatives.
Kyocera Optics
With its historical commitment to excellence in design and technology, Kyocera was a natural partner for Second Story to create a complete product showcase for their Contax camera line.
Liberty Memorial Museum
The Liberty Memorial opened in 1926 and is the nation’s only monument dedicated to World War I. After a seven year restoration, the monument re-opened in May 2002. Filled with historic murals and symbolic architectural elements, four interactive kiosks in Memory Hall explore the symbolism of each of the monument’s features, the history of the artwork in the museum, and identify each of the hundreds of persons represented in the murals. The National World War I Museum, located beneath the Liberty Memorial, is a new 30,000 square foot museum that opened in December 2006. The Museum blends its extensive collection with highly interactive technology to tell the story of the Great War and encourage reflection on how it shaped the world we live in.
Library of Congress
Collaborating with the Library of Congress, Second Story created an introductory video installation and interactive exhibit showcasing the Tortuguero Box for their current exhibition of the Jay I. Kislak collection, The Cultures and History of the Americas.
McCormick Museum Foundation
Second Story created over 25 unique media installations in the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum.
Mountain Travel Sobek | WorldTravel Partners
Second Story created the Web’s first live virtual expeditions: TerraQuest took thousands of people to Antarctica and the Galápagos Islands.
The Museum of Modern Art
Second Story has created online exhibitions, onsite kiosks and exhibition media for The Museum of Modern Art.
NASA
NASA and the National Science Foundation sponsored the creation of Live From The Rainforest, an interactive guided tour of Brazilian ecosystems.
National Archives
Second Story worked with the National Archives to create thirteen unique interactive exhibition media installations throughout Public Vaults, a new permanent exhibit at the National Archives.
National Gallery of Art
Second Story worked with the National Gallery of Art to create NGA Classroom, an educational destination where teachers and students can connect art and curriculum.

National Geographic Online
Second Story has worked closely with National Geographic Online since 1995, creating some of the most award-winning and innovative interactive experiences on the Web.
National Library of Medicine
Collaborating with the National Library of Medicine, Second Story created over twenty media and interactive experiences for two of their exhibitions on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
National Museum of American History
Second Story has created a variety of different projects for the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, including online virtual exhibitions, interactive exhibition kiosks, and online collections.

Second Story created an interpretive, online interactive Web site for the Alaska Native Collection.
National Portrait Gallery
Second Story created an online virtual exhibition for the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. George Washington: A National Treasure showcases the famous Landsdowne portrait painted by Gilbert Stuart in 1796.
National Postal Museum
Second Story worked with the National Postal Museum staff to create Arago, an online collection and resource for the study of philately and postal operations.
New Bedford Whaling Museum
Second Story created an interactive kiosk featuring a navigable whaling ship.
Nike
Second Story’s relationship with Nike has evolved from producing product promotional features to creating an interactive documentary on legendary co-founder Bill Bowerman.
Nintendo of America
Second Story has worked with Nintendo to create different promotional Web sites to accompany their game releases.
PBS
PBS and its affiliate stations have commissioned Second Story to create stand-alone online experiences that accompany some of their most successful documentaries, including films by Ken Burns.
Peabody Essex Museum
Collaborating with the Peabody Essex Museum, America's oldest continuously operating museum, Second Story has created a variety of interactive experiences for the Web, Kiosks and other digital media.
Philomath Films
Second Story worked with the documentary filmmakers at Philomath to create Circle of Stories, a rich-media Web site about Native American storytelling.
Pirate Soul Museum
Second Story worked with the Pirate Soul Museum to create exhibition media for the Port Royal tavern. Visitors enter the tavern where they meet twelve legendary pirates profiled in a mysterious interactive book that comes to life throughout the bar. A large overhead monitor in the tavern plays a looped video taking audiences through a fantastic wild ride through the colorful “Golden Age of Piracy.”
Portland Family of Funds
Second Story created four unique media installations in the Gerding Theater at the Armory.
Princeton University Art Museum
Second Story created four educational interactives that explore the symbolism, creativity and processes in bronze casting, calligraphy, ceramics and portrait painting.
Seattle Art Museum
Second Story reconstructed a rare masterpiece in the Seattle Art Museum's collection, Poem Scroll with Deer, into an on-site interactive installation and online exhibition.
Theban Mapping Project
Since 1978, the Theban Mapping Project, under the direction of well-known Egyptologist Dr. Kent Weeks, has been working to prepare a comprehensive archaeological database of the Valley of the Kings. Second Story developed a comprehensive Web site with with nearly 2,000 photographs and illustrations, over 250 detailed maps, elevations and sections, exhaustive bibliographic resources, articles, glossaries and timelines about every archaeological, geological, and ethnographic feature in the Valley.
Third Angle
Large environmental projections surrounded audiences for this Portland-based musical ensemble's "Frozen Music" performance.
Thomas Jefferson Foundation
Second Story collaborated with the Thomas Jefferson Foundation to create the Monticello Explorer. This interactive Web site brings the experience of being at Monticello to live online through an interactive map of the plantation, a comprehensive database of images and objects, an immersive, navigable 3D recreation of the house, and rich-media tours narrated by historians and curators.
Universal/MCA Records
Universal/MCA Records selected Second Story to create an engaging promotional site for the popular recording artist Mary J. Blige.
U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum
Collaborating with USHMM, Second Story has created various multimedia projects, including an orientation video, Web sites, and kiosks.
Virgin Records, America
Second Story created innovative, participatory promotional Web sites for recording artists.
Wieden + Kennedy
Second Story developed the Web features for the Starbucks "What Makes Coffee Good?" campaign.
World Forestry Center
Second Story developed three interactive installations and two videos at the World Forestry Center's Discovery Museum.
