This Web site promotes the achievements of four diverse innovators who use digital photography to explore uncharted terrain and human experience.
Visitors to Kodak.com discover that digital frontiers range from the sea floor to cyberspace, from the artistic imagination to the inside of the human eye. Four separate stories in the fields of medicine, art, natural history, and sports entertainment illustrate what makes digital photography unique. The site features these exceptional digital photographers’ methods, technological advancements, and approaches as they push picture-taking to new heights. Innovators include Quokka sports, National Geographic photographer Emory Kristof, ophthalmologist Dr. Peter Van Houten, and New York artist Kurt Strahm. Each design element of Digital Innovators—from quadrant navigation to page design—reflects its “behind the pixel” story and is inspired by the simplicity of the subjects’ equipment. The interface zooms in on each innovator, magnifying the quadrant to reveal the story. The puzzle-like design plays on the pixel theme and allows for continual access to each story.
