Through an interactive, animated 3-D map of Oregon and Washington, this kiosk reveals the many faces of forestland ownership.
The complex mapping of forested lands is brought to life through high-resolution 3-D imaging, allowing visitors to see an overview of the land and zoom into areas of interest for more detailed views. Throughout the experience visitors interact with different types of land managers and owners, viewing videos that illuminate their important role in forest maintenance. Visitors learn about the complex issues facing land management as they move through the forest maps and meet the people that are protecting the land to ensure the preservation of forests in the future.
