This site supports the exhibit, Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness, with a wealth of image galleries, an interactive timeline, and educational resources.

Second Story worked with the National Library of Medicine to create a new exhibit focused on Natives’ concepts of health and disease, and how the ideas are interwoven with concepts of “community, spirit, and the land.” This Web site provides an overview and extension of the exhibit, to make the content available for audiences outside of the museum. Photo galleries and curatorial commentary provide insight into a diversity of subjects. An interactive timeline charts the milestone events in Native history relevant to health and disease. A section with educational resources provides teachers the means to extend the discussion into the classroom.
