Hundreds of Walt Disney’s awards are on display in this museum’s lobby where interactive screens provide additional insight about the accolades in the collection.

Adjacent to large display cases flanking the walls of the Walt Disney Family Museum’s lobby are five interactive touch screens where visitors can discover the vast recognition Walt received throughout his life. A case explorer menu allows visitors to select one of the nine cases and explore its contents. A filter narrows awards by category as Walt was recognized not only for his achievements in film and entertainment, but also for his innovation in technology, education, conservation and public service. Awards can be rapidly browsed, information can be revealed, and many feature supplemental images that show Walt receiving the accolades. The “Family Selections” tour gives an overview of highlights through the collection.
