A collection of stories told by Walt Disney, his siblings and childhood friends come to life through a series of interactive animated drawings.

In this lively screen visitors can cue-and-view short animations that illustrate scenes from Walt’s childhood as reflected upon by those close to him. The early cinema inspired this interface where Walt’s words are displayed in silent film-style interstitial screens. Disney legend Floyd Norman’s drawings of each scene appear to be drawn out before the visitor in the flickering screen as each tale is told.

Every gallery is crammed with touch screens and interactive exhibits designed to bring static drawings and documents to life.

“Disney Family Museum puts focus on Walt,” The San Francisco Chronicle, Peter Hartlaub, September 25, 2009

If that sounds boring, don't worry...there are 21st century touches everywhere...Touch-screen monitors allow users to browse through relic documents that would normally be kept under glass.
